Also i have listened them for about while and for comparison the jbl' speakers was brand new from the box with no extra time to settle. I even upgrade Yamaha's firmware and even perform factory reset but still no expected sound. I repeat bass and treble is on the max level. I have no room to play less because sound is flat I even played with speakers positions.... Nothing changed. Im hopeless If someone ask why you don't return them simply i can't because im from Macedonia and i buy my hifi from UK. The 5 main speakers look very well positioned, maybe the sub would sound better if it wasn't in the corner, or if it has to go in the corner you could try it pointing in different directions to see if that helps. Are you eq'ing it with your AVR, and does your AVR give you any of the curve details? Another thing that greatly impressed me was the level of intergration between the bass/mid driver and tweeter. The highs and lows sound like they are coming from a single source, rather than two and the soundstage is very convincing. The speakers are perfect for the listen in to small to medium-sized rooms. The Bronze speaker can also be used with a subwoofer and they can be impressive as home cinema systems for larger rooms. These also offer by-amping, hence they are perfect for higher-end hi-fi systems and AV receivers.

Both the 200 and 500 are 2.5-way designs. The 200 weighs 12.8kg and measures 166 x 886 x 265mm. It teams a 25mm C-CAM gold dome tweeter with a brace of 140mm C-CAM mid/bass drivers to achieve a claimed frequency range of 45Hz to 25kHz (-6dB). The 500’s squatter proportions are largely down to the extra girth of its 205mm main drivers. Thanks to that extra driver real estate, it reaches down to a claimed 25Hz with a sensitivity rating of 90dB as opposed to the 200’s 88dB. The 25mm C-CAM gold dome tweeter is shared between the two models. Prices valid in stores (all including VAT) until close of business on 29th November 2023. (Some of these web prices are cheaper than in-store, so please mention that you've seen these offers online.) Do you have a subwoofer in your system? Great. Then your speakers are small. Before you get all upset, read on. This is one of those audio myths whose time has come to be busted. To understand why, we need to talk about Bass Management. As for the BX Centre, it shares the BX2’s elegance and heavyweight build quality but this time with twin 140mm C-CAM drivers that flank the 25mm tweeter. Detail retrieval is superb too. ”Iron Man 2’s” quieter moments are few and far between, but when they do happen you can savour subtle sounds like chattering crowds and gentle echoes. Dialogue reproduction is remarkably sophisticated for a so-called entry-level speaker too, almost matching the authority and presence of Monitor Audio’s more expensive centres. That means speech is clear and life-like, coming through clearly no matter how raucous the scene gets.I have biwired them, placed a pair of good stands under their but, and "toe" them in a bit. Right out the box the sound is a bit thin in the heights and higher mids, but after minimal 50 hours you'll be rewarded. If you want to hear anything what's on the recording, you'll have to buy these! Detail and overall balance is suburb and never heared before at this price tag. Soundstage is big and spacial for this little format speaker. Bass is punchy and speedy: these BR2's never looses rhythm. Big enough to sound special but small enough to fit in, the Monitor Audio Bronze 200 suits the widest range of spaces. Pureflow silver-plated oxygen-free copper internal cabling for highest quality current transfer through the signal chain Play some music and adjust the toe-in of the speakers. Which angle do they sound best to you on a variety of music?

Replacing the subwoofer won't help if it is the room or the placement that is causing the problems. You can get anti-modes that are separate equalisers just for subs, or even isolation platforms that might help. I am not an expert on subs, so maybe someone else will come along to advise a bit more on that, or you could ask in the separate subwoofer forums. Right out of the box, Bronze 2 tends to sound a bit sharp and edgy but worry not and give them some time to settle. I haven’t really timed it, but it took around 50 hours for them to shake off that slight sharpness and show their true colors. Lightning in a bottle. How do you trap it and, perhaps more importantly, how do you keep it bottled up? Monitor Audio’s popular Bronze speaker range, now in its sixth generation, makes for a particularly good case study. Adjust the height, once you've established where the speakers will stay. Either the height of the speakers or the height of you. Play some music. Most speakers sound best when you are at or below the height of the tweeter. The soundstage is incredibly spacious, with beautiful interaction between the channels. Effects zip around with breathtaking energy while those rear speakers spray sounds into the room and along the walls with authority and warmth. Faultless tonal matching across every speaker guarantees a remarkably unified soundstage. Class-leading drive units can only perform at their best if housed within a decent cabinet and here, once again, the Bronze range excels. The 21/15mm (baffle/cabinet) MDF construction features internal bracing for reduced vibration – giving cleaner, less distorted audio. Silver-plated, oxygen-free copper internal cable gives the highest quality current transfer, keeping the signal optimised. It’s all anchored by the sensational BXW-10, which delivers a bass slam so deep and potent that the Chilean miners would have felt it. What’s more it never lags behind or sounds flabby when relaying sudden bangs and thuds, thanks to its tautness and dynamic punch. A better and more practical approach came after studying human perception. The mechanisms that we use to determine the direction of arrival of sound depend on the frequency. At high frequencies the wavelength of sound is small and so sound coming from the side is shadowed by our head. That creates a level difference between the sound reaching the ear closest to the source and the ear on the other side. Our brain analyzes these level differences and produces an estimate of where the sound is coming from. But at lower frequencies, the wavelength of sound gets longer and our head is not large enough to produce a level difference at the two ears. Instead, we analyze the difference in time of arrival of sound at the two ears. Sound arrives first at the closest ear and we use that to determine the direction. But even that ability fails us below about 80 Hz. The wavelengths get very large and it was found in listening tests that 80 Hz is the frequency below which most people can not localize the direction of sound.

Sound that’s more life-like

Next, we come to Bronze BX’s big daddy, the BXW-10 active subwoofer. It’s equipped with a new 10in C-CAM long-throw driver and a 200W Class-D power amplifier, while on the outside the sturdy build quality, living-room friendly looks and surprisingly diminutive sealed cabinet ooze style and quality without making huge demands on your space. Rigid 18 mm MDF construction throughout, employing radial and cross-bracing techniques for high rigidity resulting in low cabinet coloration

Are you looking at a five-star set of standmount speakers, as reviewed by this publication? You are – in fact the Bronze 2s are a permanent fixture in our best budget hi-fi speakers 2020 roundup. Speaker Cables with Banana Plugs: If you know the lenght of the cable you need, this is the easier option to connect your speakers with your amp. The Monitor Audio BX2 was a very high selling and popular speaker, now they have improved it and made the all-new Bronze Two. It includes a bigger 6.5-inch C-CAM bass driver, C-CAM dome tweeter, the ability to bi-wire and high-quality crossovers. If you're looking for a high performing yet compact bookshelf speaker to fit into your current Hi-Fi or AV set up, then the Bronze Two will fit very nicely. Single bolt-through driver systems for increased overall bracing, rigidity and driver/baffle de-couplingMonitor Audio Bronze 2 is a front-firing port speaker , which gives you more flexibility compared to rear firing speakers when you need to place it close against a wall or other surfaces. The sound quality of the Bronze range is impressive and it comes with the C-CAM gold dome tweeters. The sound played in the upper frequencies stay clear and smooth, avoiding any sound distortion. The Bronze 2 speakers are larger in size and the difference can be noticed with the quality of the sound of the set of speakers. Monitor Audio Bronze 2 has external dimensions of (Height x Width x Depth) 13.7 x 7.2 x 11.0inch (350.0 x 185.0 x 281.0mm ). Like its predecessors, the BR2 works best when placed quite close to a wall. This helps to fill out the mid-bass octave nicely, though on the other hand, it also creates some unevenness further up in the midband.
