Doyle: "Rich kid, filling her long day, collecting for charity. Time drags. I think maybe she's just trying to get attention."

In 1987, ITV was re-running some episodes. After the Hungerford shooting incident the particular episode that was to be aired, "Lawson's Last Stand", had a theme that was deemed insensitive and was replaced by the less violent "The Untouchables". A man whose daughter is severely brain-damaged after a complicated birth then loses his wife to an overdose. He blames the incompetence of the doctors, and seeks revenge. With the blessing of an unsuspecting priest he systematically starts to wipe out doctors, one by one. (Well spotted, Rob Mathews) Norman Eshley, Roy Purcell, James Faulkner, Marc Boyle, Ian Fairbairn, Ben Howard, Valentino Musetti, Meg Davies Although depictions of actual bloodshed were scarce, the series was often criticised for its level of violence, with shootings, martial arts and asphyxiation a common means of assassination. Speaking of which we have the welcome return of the much-missed Daft-In-the-Car-Banter!! Like ' First Night' Doyle teases Bodie over his eating habits. And more humour at Bodie's expense when Susan describes Doyle as being "the good-looking one"! Many of the episodes featured a car chase, a role for which the Capri, at least in terms of its market positioning, was particularly well-suited.
