Eight Miles High – Performed by The Byrds – played in the background of George talking about the summer of love. From this archival footage, he assembled a 90-minute feature film which was tentatively titled The Long and Winding Road and was completed in 1971. The song was replaced as the opening track on Anthology 3 with the White Album outtake " A Beginning". It was broadcast on UK television in eight parts on ITV between 26 November and 31 December 1995, while in the United States it was seen as three feature-length episodes on ABC between 19 and 23 November 1995. It also included the song "Lend Me Your Comb", omitted from the collection Live at the BBC, released the previous year (1994). The discs have very attractive full motion menus that build upon the look and feel of the Anthology CD set.
