I took my first breath the moment I started writing. That’s when I started living in every nonliteral sense of the word. Writing healed me. It continues to heal me. It is the air that keeps my soul alive and the medicine that cleanses it. He also writes that strong negative emotions can have a negative effect on the vegetative functions of an individual and may even lead to death in some cases. He also discusses hypnosis ( al Wahm al-Amil), stating that one could create conditions in another person so that they accepts the reality of hypnosis. Avicenna was also the first to divide human perception into the five external senses (the classical senses of hearing, sight, smell, taste and touch known since ancient history) and the five internal senses which he discovered himself: [7] :366 Early Philosophy · Farabism · Avicennism · Averroism · Illuminationism · Sufi Philosophy ( Cosmology · Metaphysics) · Transcendent Theosophy · Traditionalist School · Contemporary Philosophy Mayer, Toby. 2001. Lost for words, najwa has described every living emotion that runs within me that sometimes I cannot express into words. Relatable. Can't wait to stumble across it again soon.

Ibn Sina further elaborated on the causes of mountains. He was aware of the ability of certain springs to petrify objects and thus envisaged the concept of a 'mineralizing and petrifying virtue' in the Earth. He wrote that valleys had been excavated by the action of currents of water, and that mountains themselves were formed by petrification of 'agglutinative clay' after land was exposed by the retreat of the sea, citing fossil shells found inland as evidence. He wrote that currently mountains are chiefly decaying and disintegrating but that their layered appearance indicates that they were formerly produced by a sedimentary process, implying a cycle in the formation and decomposition of mountains. [9] It only solidifies my belief to treat others the way that I hope to be treated, not the way others have treated me. Critical editions of the Arabic text have been published in Cairo, 1952–83, originally under the supervision of Ibrahim Madkour; some of these editions are given below. [1] The world is tough. Living in the modern world involves grappling with pressures from all sides, and if you are a marginalised person, you have added structural barriers and pressures to deal with. We’re all harmed by capitalism, bigotry, and other social factors, as well as having to live with medical issues, mental health problems, or general low mood. It’s easy to feel hopeless sometimes — but fortunately, many other people have felt the same way, and lots of those people have written books. Self-healing and self-care is an ongoing and highly personal process, but there are a huge number of healing books that can guide you along your path to feeling better.
