Description

JBL's night-time switch off device is also included in this Advanced kit, which will reduce CO2 usage by half. By using a timer (not included), the device shuts off the carbon dioxide at night. Consequently, the supply lasts longer, saving you money and energy. Accessories and fertiliser are also provided for professional results every time. The in-tank test is used to provide permanent readings of carbon dioxide levels and pH values. These great value for money kits provide aquatic plants with the appropriate levels of carbon dioxide to help them to thrive. We have a wide range suitable for all sizes of aquariums. If you have a smaller set-up, the Fluval Pressurised CO2 Kit is an ideal choice, including everything you need to grow and maintain lush aquatic plants. If you have a larger, more complex aquarium, the larger kits such as the JBL CO2 range, include a 500g filled canister, permanent CO2 level indicator and all the fittings and valves needed. Since other acids in the water impair the measurement, a blank value must also be determined. To do this, take a water sample of 100 ml and aerate it for 15 min using a JBL ProSilent air pump with an air stone. Then determine the blank value according to the instructions given above. Compares desired and actual pH value and controls the CO2 supply with solenoid valve (not included)

These systems are easy to install and ready for connection. Simply screw the pressure reducer onto the CO2 storage cylinder. Connect the pressure reducer with the hose to the diffuser in the aquarium. The CO2 enters the aquarium and is dissolved in the water by the diffuser. The CO2 supply can be interrupted at night by adding a solenoid valve. With CO2 and planting equipment you can ensure the health of your plants and their ability to photosynthesise, this will allow your plants to oxygenate the water in your tank. Oxygenating the water is key for the survival of any marine life and often requires hardware to achieve, if you can manage the CO2 and the number of plants carefully you can create plenty of oxygenated water for your entire tank. What are the main types of CO2 and planting equipment products?Live aquatic plants can bring a lot to an aquarium but they do need some care and attention to flourish. With CO2 and planting equipment you will have everything you need to tend to your aquarium garden, including ‘feeding’ your plants CO2 to allow them to perform photosynthesis, which changes CO2 into oxygen. Recently there has also been a growing trend in what is known as aquascaping. Aquascaping is the process of styling your aquarium plants, similar to how a professional gardener might, to create an impressive arrangement of flora. Why should I buy CO2 and planting equipment products? The solenoid valve can either be switched on and off by a timer (not included) so that it switches on the light and the CO2 in the morning (and switches off again in the evening) or the solenoid valve is switched on and off by a CO2 control unit (JBL PROFLORA CO2 CONTROL) to regulate the CO2 supply and thus the pH value automatically.

Add reagent 2 drop by drop. After each drop, swirl and count the drops until a pink colour is obtained which remains stable for 60 seconds and corresponds to the colour in the second measuring tube on the pink colour eld. To compare the colours, look into the tubes from above.

The system comes completely ready for connection. Screw the pressure reducer onto the CO2 storage cylinder. Connect the pressure reducer with the hose to the diffuser in the aquarium. The CO2 enters the aquarium and is dissolved in the water by the diffuser. The CO2 supply can be interrupted at night by adding a solenoid valve (not included). CO2 fertiliser system for the best feeding of fast and slow growing plants in freshwater aquariums up to 600 l (max. 120 cm) Please note: When fertilising with so-called liquid carbon, fertiliser monitoring with JBL PRO AQUATEST CO2 Direct is not possible because these fertilisers do not con-tain CO2 but other carbon compounds. Procedure: The CO2 and planting equipment range can be split into the following categories; aquarium probes, aquarium plant fertiliser, aquarium planting substrate, aquascaping, CO2 and iron test kits, CO2 and planting equipment pipework & fittings, CO2 bottles, CO2 pressure gauges, co2 sets, CO2 solenoid valves, diffusers, planting accessories. Aquarium probes, also known as aquarium electrodes, monitor the presence of CO2 within your aquarium water. Aquarium plant fertiliser is just like regular fertiliser however it is designed not to mix with the water, which can create a murky tank. Aquarium planting substrate is similar to soil for regular plants but formulated for aquatic use. Aquascaping includes all the tools needed to perform many modern aquascaping techniques. CO2 and iron test kits are simple chemical tests to determine the presence of CO2 or iron within your water. CO2 and planting equipment pipework & fittings has everything you need to set up your CO2 hardware and connect it with your tank. CO2 bottles are simply storage canisters of CO2. CO2 pressure gauges monitor and regulate the pressure within the CO2 bottles. CO2 sets contain all the hardware needed to add CO2 to your aquarium. CO2 solenoid valves are timed valves used to help you stop or start adding CO2 to your system. Diffusers spread CO2 throughout your aquarium to ensure they reach all of your plants. Finally planting accessories is made up of various tools and spare parts useful to aquatic gardeners. What should I look for? Digital measurement and control technology: graphic display, direct user interface, separate sensors for pH value and temperature

Connect sensors (pH sensor not included), set desired values in menu, connect with solenoid valve (not included)

The number of drops multiplied by 2 gives the carbon dioxide content in mg/l. Example: 10 drops of reagent 2 = 20 mg/l CO2. The respiratory rate and pulse rate increase at a carbon dioxide concentration of 3-5%. Other symptoms are headaches, discomfort and ringing in the ears. Carbon dioxide concentrations of 8-10% and more cause these symptoms to become more pronounced. This may lead to cramps, fainting, apnoea and death from suffocation. Large pallet items like aquariums are deemed delivered successfully with no damage once the the driver has left the property. If a report of damage is submitted after the driver has left we may be unable to assist with replacements. We recommend refusing a damaged delivery, this is the fastest resolution. The conversion to a refillable cylinder system is possible by screwing on the adapter (JBL Adapt u-m, separately available) Professional water care with night switch-off: precise dosing thanks to pressure reducer, even release, effective distribution due to extendable diffuser, best control due to bubble counter, CO2/pH test, residual pressure display on pressure gauge

Very high-quality design: anodised aluminium, precisely CNC-milled in titanium colour, low-noise solenoid valve. Reliable sealing washer instead of O-ring the plants. No extra pumps are required to operate the JBL reactor. 11. CO2 permanent direct measurement

CO2

Why test? Carbon dioxide (CO2) is the most important plant nutrient. The consump-tion of CO2 differs from aquarium to aquarium and depends, amongst other things, on the following factors: number and demands of plants, carbonate hardness, water movement and light. Fertilisation with CO2 is usually done with a CO2 fertiliser system. In the aquarium water, a CO2 content between 15 and 30 mg / l is recommended. This range is safe for fish and at the same time ensures luxuriant plant growth. 20–25 mg/l CO2 has proven to be ideal. In special aquariums with a large number of plants, higher values of up to 35 mg/l may be required. Tip: Can be easily converted to a disposable cylinder system by unscrewing the knurled union nut with an Allen key. The pressure reducer fits disposable CO2 cylinders (U system) and refillable cylinders (M system). By unscrewing the knurled nut (W21.8x1/14) with an Allen key, the pressure reducer fits the M10x1 thread of the disposable cylinders
