About this deal

There should be one of these types of boiler filling loops under your Vaillant combi boiler, if not then it will be an external filling loop. Vaillant boiler filling loop closed Having the boiler pressure too high (above 1.5 when the system is cold), means you will need to let some pressure (water) out of the system. What I have learned and understand so far is that there should be a release of air from the valve when activated when the boiler is switched on or off.

If you need to repressurise your Vaillant boiler often you have a problem that you need to get fixed. Open a drain-off valve on the Vaillant boiler or central heating system with a hose attached and let the pressure drop. Compatible with aroTHERM air-to-water heat pump hybrid system - Making the perfect entry into renewable systemsLeave the drain off open and pop the front cover off the boiler. Now don't touch anything except for the red expansion vessel down the right hand side, looks kind of like a metal hot water bottle!! If you have another brand of boiler and not a Vaillant, there?s a chance that recharging the expansion vessel may not fix the problem because the vessel has split internally. If this is the case, you would need to replace the expansion vessel, not just recharge it. This almost never happens on Vaillant boilers though. Faulty Filling Loop Letting By Vaillant boilers are sometimes undersized when fitted and are not large enough to cope with a large house’s central heating system.

To find out which it is, you can tie a carrier bag to the end of the copper blow-off pipe outside. Boiler blow-off pipe Our boiler seems to run with little pressure so it may have been low for quite a while during the summer. The hot water on reflection wasn't as hot as it is once the pressure is topped up, which makes me think it has been like it a while. I've not been topping it up at all during the summer but last winter I had to top it up fairly frequently when we were using the heating - every 3-4 days maybe. I thought it was a slow leak.High-quality heat exchanger - Stainless steel heat exchanger designed for long life and easy maintenance The pressure rises when the heating is on, so you will not get the proper reading until it has cooled down.

You should ensure the heating is turned off before repressurising the boiler as it will sometimes fire up as soon as it reaches the minimum working pressure. You can do this via a drain-off valve. A drain-off valve can be on the boiler, a radiator valve or anywhere on the central heating pipework. Radiator drain off valve PUMP, HIGH-EFFICIENCY (IF THIS IS THE REPLACEMENT PART THEN PART NUMBER 0010030691 - CABLE IS ALSO REQUIRED) Can someone kindly explain what are the key indicators are that my combination boiler expansion vessel needs to be replaced? If the bag is dry after your Vaillant boiler loses pressure overnight you must have a leak on the central heating system which will need to be found and fixed.

The system pressure kept going really high when the heating was on. But when the heating cooled down, the pressure went really low and caused an F22 fault. What Causes Boiler Pressure To Go Really High I then just refilled the boiler, vented it and tested the system. It?s a nice easy job that shouldn?t take more than an hour. What Else Can Cause This Problem? Split Expansion Vessel Yes. You can repressurise a Vaillant boiler by yourself, and you should definitely learn how to repressurise a combi boiler if you don’t already know. Here is my situation: I have a Vaillant Ecotec pro 28 combi boiler that is about 6 years old. It is stored in the loft of a 3-bed house and until now I've never had any problems with it apart from a small amount of pressure loss which is so gradual I only needed to top it up every few months or so. I do this using the 2 valves underneath boiler as instructed by a plumber friend. A couple of weeks ago I switched the heating on (after it being off all Summer) and since then the pressure has been dropping pretty much every night so that in the morning there is an F22 fault code and the heating doesn't come on. To get around this I have been adding pressure as before and then the heating works again.Recognised Grundfos high-efficiency pump - Modulating high-torque pump uses low energy to deliver a balanced output to meet the boiler demand, helping to reduce energy consumption Removable side panels and push-fit flue system – For improved accessibility, ease of installation and greater installation flexibility
