Know your skin: If you have susceptible skin. Choose a gentle fragrance like the Harajuku lovers’ BABY. This perfume is as innocent and gentle as a baby. The scent is primarily floral. It is advertised as a “powdery musk.” It smells pretty much like baby products. With slightly more floral than your average baby lotion or powder. The top notes include Bergamot, Freesia, and rose. The heart notes include Jasmine, Orange Blossom, and Tiare Flower. The base notes are Vanilla, musk, Violet, and Heliotrope. How Do I Feel About this Perfume? The top notes include Freesia, red apple, and peach. The heart notes are jasmine, orchid, and Frangipani. And lastly, the base notes consist of Musk, Sandalwood, Amber, and Vanille. How Do I Feel About this Perfume?

The first perfume I had ever experienced. Belonged to my grandmother’s extensive collection of jasmine-scented perfumes. Even after so many years have passed, I still remember the aroma of that incredible scent. I spent 32 minutes in conversation with Stefani, many of them devoted to her lengthy answer to my question about Harajuku Lovers. In that time, she said more than once that she is Japanese. Allure’s social media associate (who is Asian and Latina) was also present for the interview and we were left questioning what we had heard. Maybe she misspoke? Again and again? During our interview, Stefani asserted twice that she was Japanese and once that she was "a little bit of an Orange County girl, a little bit of a Japanese girl, a little bit of an English girl." Surely, she didn’t mean it literally or she didn’t know what she was saying? (A representative for Stefani reached out the next day, indicating that I had misunderstood what Stefani was trying to convey. Allure later asked Stefani’s team for an on-the-record comment or clarification of these remarks and they declined to provide a statement or participate in a follow-up interview.)The lasting power is quite impressive and the sillage, although not overpowering, can leave a lovely, pleasant trail. A Japanese word that means “a thing to wear,” “kimono” commonly refers to traditional Japanese garments that have been around for hundreds of years. This is a heavy fragrance for me. So I won’t be using it again because I don’t like the smell full of astringent citrus fruits. Who is this Perfume For?

The collection of her mesmerizing fragrances inspired me to explore more beautiful scented perfumes for myself with a long-lasting impression. Today, I want to share a Gwen Stefani Perfume guide to help you find your ideal perfume. So that you don’t have to search for years and years as I did. Bottom Line Up FrontThe perfume works for every woman. The light and soft combo can be worn casually by young girls, teens, and women at home or work. It works everywhere at parties, at home, or at formal gatherings. Pros The women also appeared in a Japanese-inflected boudoir scene in her “Rich Girl” music video in which Stefani at times sports a white bustier and geisha hairstyle. (Stefani also launched a successful Harajuku Mini children’s clothing line in Target from 2011.) Jenny’s big break came when she appeared in Britney Spears’ Pepsi ad campaign ‘The Joy of Pepsi’ in 2001 which was broadcast on television during commercial break at the Academy Awards. That was my Japanese influence and that was a culture that was so rich with tradition, yet so futuristic [with] so much attention to art and detail and discipline and it was fascinating to me," she said, explaining how her father (who is Italian American) would return with stories of street performers cosplaying as Elvis and stylish women with colorful hair. Then, as an adult, she was able to travel to Harajuku to see them herself. "I said, 'My God, I'm Japanese and I didn't know it.'" As those words seemed to hang in the air between us, she continued, "I am, you know." She then explained that there is "innocence" to her relationship with Japanese culture, referring to herself as a "super fan."
