Kaz's injured leg, chronic pain, and use of a cane is based on Leigh Bardugo's experiences with osteonecrosis. [24] Trivia

Hail, crow-friend. Yes, I remember you—the wingless bat-killer of Crow's Wood! How could I forget my tallest, clankiest vassal? The witness gives evidence and answers questions from the witness box. Young or vulnerable witnesses can give evidence by video link from somewhere else or from behind a screen. Assistance for the witness Although NPR books criticized the characters, claiming that the characters do not behave or think like adolescents, but rather display the wisdom and traits of much older people, it also comments " Six of Crows is a well-turned heist tale....[It] has a muscle car's drive and a cast that hangs with you like they were made of magnets" [18]Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price—and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can't pull it off alone...

The White Island is the center of the Ice Palace, separated from the outer sectors by the ice moat. "The moat's waters were ever shifting, concealed only by a wafer-thin skin of frost." [2] There are two points of entry onto the White Island: the glass bridge and the drüskelle path. The glass bridge is a grand, arching structure spanning the moat from the embassy sector. On its spires are blue flame lanterns. The drüskelle bridge is an invisible, small, flat piece of glass just under the frozen skin of the moat and is accessible from the drüskelle sector. The drüskelle path also serves as an emergency way out of the Royal Palace. [3] Both bridges are such perfect glass that anyone on them appears to be walking in midair. Aderhold, Beth (June 4, 2018). What would the spinoff mean for Shadow and Bone season 3?

After not speaking to Jesper for three weeks following the auction of Kuwei Yul-Bo, Kaz tells Inej that Jesper is missed around the Slat, implying that Kaz misses Jesper. There are a lot of people, myself included, who thought the Six of Crows stories were going to happen in Shadow and Bone season 2. The creators went in a different direction with the story, but we did learn a lot about Kaz, Inej, Jesper, Wylan, Nina, and Matthias. The story is narrated in the third person, with each chapter told from the point of view of a different character. The chapters rotate primarily between Kaz’s, Inej’s, Nina’s, Matthias’s, and Jesper’s accounts of events. This narrative structure weaves together each of the main characters’ perspectives, providing access to the inner thoughts, dreams, and memories that develop their individual origin stories over the course of the novel. The use of multiple perspectives allows each character to tell their own story while also allowing the reader to see each character through other characters’ eyes. The narrative structure also provides readers with multiple versions of certain events, inviting the reader to consider the action from vastly different angles rather than a single point of view. As outcasts and loners, none of the gang seems to be the main character in their own story, paralleling the way that each of them has struggled to be seen and appreciated within society. A Court of Crows is the first book in the gripping Talons and Tethers Saga, a new adult fantasy romance series. Expect courtly intrigue, assassination plots, plenty of heart-pounding action sequences, and strong heroines who do their own rescuing. Six dangerous outcasts. One impossible heist. Kaz's crew is the only thing that might stand between the world and destruction—if they don't kill each other first.

Afterward, Nina left for Ketterdam, plotting to break Matthias out, and was contracted by Kaz Brekker to work at the House of the White Rose. Up until she became part of the group, she charged people for use of her Heartrender powers. Heisserer also confirmed there are eight episodes of Six of Crows written, and that’s a really good sign. He mentioned that’s one of the reasons he was the co-showrunner on Shadow and Bone season 2. I need to convince the Queen of Chaff that these machines serve me and me alone!" So you want me to operate the controls in secret? "Yes! Exactly! A performance! My legs, while svelte and regal, are not strong enough to push and pull these levers. I need you and your meaty hands.Since Shadow and Bone started, and the Grishaverse fans learned that the Crows would be incorporated into the show, an underlying question has always been: When are we getting the Six of Crows story on screen? The first book in the Crow’s duology is beloved by fans, and the Ice Court heist is one of the most iconic storylines in the series, so seeing it on screen would be a dream. While there wasn’t much from the first book about these thieves in Season 2 of Shadow and Bone, the finale did clearly set up the stakes for the Ice Court Hiest, and if you’ve read the books, you know that the foundation has been laid for an epic adventure in Fjerda with our favorite crew from Ketterdam. The punishment for destroying a nest, tearing it down or taking it over (encroaching) is a group of crows forcing the criminal to rebuild that nest, which is absolutely Islamic law! In the books, Kaz and the crew help Nina break her Fjerdan beau out of prison so he can help with the Ice Court Heist, because he grew up there and knows the lay of the land. However, with the way it’s set up in the show, Matthias also has a stake in this game because he not only knows the Ice Court, he now hates Pekka as much as Kaz, and will likely want his revenge. And you know what they say: The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
