A year on and the final (I assume) two in the PO-30 series are here, the PO-33 K.O! and the PO-35 speak. No, the numbering doesn’t make sense but the 30 Series does share a metallic finish on its boxes and Teenage Engineering is calling it the ‘metal’ series. So are these worthy additions to it? The same but different Sounds from an office atmosphere are literally sampled in The Office. We’re talking about floppy disks, keyboards, and everything else. Its sophisticated sequencer also lets you to add more drum and synth sounds to create unique, organic-sounding patterns. There are a total of 16 sounds, 128 patterns (including chaining), 16 built-in effects, and a unique solo feature. if customer has failed to notify teenage engineering of any defect where the defect should have been reasonably apparent on inspection; or With the PO-35 Speak, you can record your own voice or any external sound via the built-in microphone. Once recorded, you can transform and manipulate the samples using 8 different voice characters, each with its own distinct style and character. The speech synthesis engine allows you to create robotic, lo-fi, and glitchy vocal textures that add a whole new dimension to your music. Compact and Creative Freedom

note: this equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a class b digital device, If the PO-14 is the bass synth, this is the lead. As with the Sub, it was 15 sounds and a micro drum machine on board to add a bit of movement to your parts. A 16-step sequencer records your pitch, note length, drum parts and effects, and you can save up to 16 patterns to easily recall later.by placing all vital and sensitive components under the LCD display there's no need for an outer case. by saving this cost, high quality components could be used to guarantee the best possible sound and very low power consumption. the space under the display also doubles as a speaker box. if customer did not follow any applicable instructions for proper storage, usage, or maintenance of this product;

For our money, however, Speak is the standout of these two new POs (and possibly the whole range, to date). Created with Sonic Charge’s Magnus Lidström, who also developed the PO-32 Tonic, Speak is a vocal synth that lets users sample short chunks of audio and process these via one of eight ‘voices’. The KO was released slightly later than the initial range, and offers some rather special functionality. It’s a sample with a built-in microphone; you can record, tweak and sequence your own custom samples, from your own voice to an acoustic drum kit. It intelligently maps out drum samples, offers full sequencing, allows you to record effects into your sequence – huge creative potential. The overall storage limits you to 120 seconds of sample time, which may seem little, but it’s more than enough space to create interesting sequences, especially combined with the onboard drum machine. hold record + any key from 1-15. the microphone will record until the keys are released, and the recording will be stored in the position you selected (1-15). each recording can be 8 seconds long. Know the specific type of synthesis used – analog modeling, FM, additive, etc. This affects the sonic character.

connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.

to receive via microphone: press record + sound to enter receive mode. place mic on receiving unit close to computer speaker and press destination button in microtonic to start the transfer. while playing, hold write and press any key 1-16 to punch in notes. notes will be quantized along with current swing setting. release write when finished. Adding that sound with different pitches, from Barry White to a squealing pig, is as simple as placing it in a pattern location while twisting the left dial to adjust pitch. Start messing with the real time performance effects and you’ll have a jittery, slippery tune in no time. Never has so much fun been had within 30 seconds. If you want to create a tune before your computer has even booted up, then you’ve come to the right place. And the editable parameters allow you to shave any silence from your recordings and the on-board effects make performing patterns super easy and the results are super-cool sounding. That’s a stark warning that’s hard to ignore, but once you’ve overcome that hurdle and done so anyway, you’ll be pleased to have a crunchy, lo-fi sampler and voice synth at your disposal.Taking us a little by surprise the PO-30 Series was initially just a single unit – the PO-32, probably my favourite of the lot so far. This one paired up with the excellent Microtonic drum software, with hardware and software able to swap presets. In use it becomes almost a hardware version of that software – the first of a kind for any hardware, and a device that reverses the recent trend in music technology circles where a lot of classic hardware has been recreated in software. There are 7 function buttons. As standard, every Operator has 'sound', 'pattern', 'bpm', 'play'&'write'. The other 2 buttons vary from unit to unit, but are normally used for 'fx' / 'style' and another special function. These buttons are usually pressed in combination with others to change the behaviour of the unit.
