Description

DYNASTIC AGENT: A unit that can be included in a NECRONS Detachment without preventing other units in that Detachment from gaining a Dynastic Code. Directive: One part of a command protocol, when a command protocol becomes active for your army, one of that command protocol’s directives will be selected to be the one that applies to the affected units in your army. During deployment, can set unit up in a hyperspace dimension instead of setting it up on the battlefield. During last week’s Warhammer WednesdayI went to town on Games Workshop for their Kill Team: Pariah Nexusshenanigans. I was especially salty about the price point and Games Workshop’s tendency to gate products behind boxsets. Out of the blue they go and announce the darn Royal Court. I think somebody better slap my chops and give me a stern telling off, because GW is doing their best to prove me wrong. Specifically me. Nobody else. Obviously. The other situation where you can potentially make use of a Court is when building a deathstar for your Necrons. The typical Necron variant is a 3++ save unit (most commonly Wraiths, but occasionally Lychguard) paired with Orikan the Diviner and another named character, either Nemessor Zandrekh or Varguard Obyron (and occasionally both.) With the ability to replace our normal versions with unique ones, this actually works out rather perfectly- we have our mandatory Cryptek (Orikan) and the potential for either a Lord (Obyron), an Overlord (Zandrekh), or both. Combined with a Canoptek Harvest we can actually build such a deathstar without using anything but formations, though this is probably not the route most will go- however, it is an option.

At the start of each battle round, if any SKORPEKH LORD or LOKHUST LORD units from your army are on the battlefield, the annihilation protocol that you assigned to that battle round becomes active for your army until the end of that battle round. Each annihilation protocol is made up of two directives. When an annihilation protocol becomes active for your army, reveal it to your opponent and select one of its directives. Until the assigned annihilation protocol stops being active, while a unit that is eligible to benefit from this ability is within 6" of a friendly SKORPEKH LORD or LOKHUST LORD model, that unit benefits from the selected directive. This unit is not considered to be a NOBLE or CHARACTER unit for the purposes of the Command Protocols ability, and no longer has the following abilities: My Will Be Done; The Lord's Will. x1 Canoptek Reanimator: An elites choice, wields a pair of deadly atomiser beams alongside its reanimator’s claws. This formidable unit is capable of both offense and repair, making it a versatile addition to your Necron forces. The sight of these blood-spattered killers advancing unflinchingly is enough to turn the hearts of even the staunchest fighters. While an enemy unit is within 6" of this unit, subtract 1 from the Leadership characteristic of models in that unit and subtract 1 from Combat Attrition tests taken for that unit. The Necron fleet is a small but deadly force capable of destroying most ships very easily. They also don't make use of the same form of interstellar travel, the Warp, as other races do, making them difficult to intercept. [1c] [This citation is still incomplete] The Necron Fleet achieves FTL travel by a variety of means, such as Dolmen Gates [4d] and Inertialess Drive. [Needs Citation]This set provides you with reinforcements for your Necrons collection. A Skorpekh Lord can lead your force from the front, powerful weapons bringing ruin to your enemies. At his side, a Plasmancer can channel raw energy into searing blasts of firepower, while enslaved Cryptothralls protect their Cryptek master. Should any of them be damaged by impertinent foes, the towering Canoptek Reanimator can repair them, ready to battle on in the name of the Silent King. The models in this set are push-fit and can be assembled without glue. Rules for them can be found in Codex: Necrons. Cannot, if it is your Charge phase, be set up closer to any enemy units that are targets of a charge declared by its unit this phase. If the number of dice in that pool is greater than or equal to the Wounds characteristic of any of the reassembling models, select one of those models to be Reanimated. A Reanimated model: Though all of the models in the formation have their usual special rules intact, the only actual rule that the formation itself gives is allowing you to reroll your Warlord trait on the Necron table if you want- a rather weak benefit considering how many points you’re forced to invest into it.

The reanimation protocols of these warriors have been overridden, reanimating them at greater speeds but with a greater chance of degrading their personality engrams, plunging them into deeper depths of madness. Each time you make a Reanimation Protocol roll for this unit, you can change a single dice result to a 6. From: The dynasty that a unit belongs to is the dynasty they are from. A unit is from a certain dynasty if they have that dynasty’s name listed on its Faction keyword line. While this unit is wholly within your deployment zone, each time you make a Reanimation Protocol roll for this unit, each dice result of a 6 counts as one additional successful roll. If dynasty does not have an associated Dynastic Code, you must create one for them. To do so, select one Dynastic Tradition and one Circumstance of Awakening. If you selected this secondary objective, then after both sides have finished deploying, starting with your opponent, the players alternate selecting objective markers that are not within any player’s deployment zone to be Ancient Machinery objective markers, until three objective markers have been selected (if there are only one or two such objective markers, then only those objective markers are Ancient Machinery objective markers). When you select a PSYKER unit to manifest psychic powers, you select one psychic power that unit knows and attempt to manifest it. With the exception of Smite, you cannot attempt to manifest the same psychic power more than once in the same battle round, even with different PSYKER units. The same PSYKER unit cannot attempt to manifest Smite more than once during the same battle round. This construct hangs heavy over the enemies of the Necrons, a stark reminder of the doom at hand. This unit is considered to have double the number of wounds remaining for the purposes of determining what its characteristics are and for the purposes of determining how many Powers of the C’tan it can use.
