Franziskaner Weissbier is a classic Bavarian wheat beer brewed according to the Reinheitsgebot, the German purity law of 1516. It is made with malted wheat and barley, hops, water and yeast. The unfiltered wheat beer has a cloudy, golden appearance and is light and refreshing with a slight fruity taste. The beer has a light body and a slightly sweet, full-bodied flavor with a hint of banana and clove. It has a relatively low alcohol content of 4.9% by volume.
