We advise, and it is stated on the product instructions, everyone should perform a strand test before dyeing their hair, even if they have used the product before, as that ensures they will achieve the right result. So remember to buy the product 48 hours in advance. I still occasionally have people tell me they can see a blue tint to my hair, however I can't notice it myself, it doesn't show in pictures either so it must be when my hair is under extreme light (i.e outdoors or under lightbulbs or fixtures) The conditioner was lovely. This is just my obsession with deep conditioning after dying it with a perma dye, but it left my hair wonderfully silky. I over dyed it with the cosmic blue, hoping for it to come out a nice, fairly bright, blue, as shown on the box. It did for the most part too. To help remove any residue from hair gently brush before starting the application. The smell was similar to that of most other permanent dyes I've used, although most similar to hydrogen peroxide. It didnt touch my darker brown roots, i wasnt expecting it to, but just to let you know you need very light brown hair for it to show up. My hair had been lightened quite a few levels from brown. The first time I used 2 boxes and despite saturating my entire head, was super patchy, the lightest areas didnt take and left giant gaps in my hair. It looked awful and was a muddy red colour.
