Description

Those compressors on the first two channels have just one knob each for ‘more or less’ compression, with an amber LED giving an indication of how much compression is being applied — similar to the system used on some Yamaha mixers.

Onboard analogue compression (channels 1-2) helps control dynamics and gel instruments together for a cohesive, defined mix. Offering professional features like: quality mic pre's, analog compression, EQ, and flexible routing in familiar user-friendly format, these new mixers from Alto Professional allow a perfect mix to be set up quickly and easily by anyone, from the live sound novice to the experienced sound engineer," says Alto Professional Product Manager Paul Gallo. It has 5 balanced XLR inputs with switchable phantom power, 3-band EQs, two aux sends per channel for external effects and monitoring, and a 9-band graphic EQ for main or monitor outputs.

The Alto Professional Live 802 is a pro 8-channel, 2-bus mixer equipped with the tools you need to create the perfect mix. Up to 45dB of mic gain is available, with an additional 20dB of gain possible via the channel and master faders.Live 802 comes ready to handle any mixing situation with premium 24-bit Alesis effects built right into its design. Any claims for damage or shortage which are not notified within this time shall not be accepted by the Company. The effects presets make it simple to quickly dial in your favourite sound or try out other effect settings. Live 802's built-in USB port allows engineers, producers, and performers to convert two channels of 24-bit audio (Main Mix or Sub Mix 1/2) straight to a computer. Each mono channel offers a low-cut filter, gain control, a three-band EQ, a pan knob, mute switch, and a 60mm smooth-travelling fader.

As the mic amps have a maximum of 45dB of gain, the input gain control needs to be set around three-quarters up to record speech using a dynamic mic, or around halfway up for close-miked vocals. The USB recording side of the mixer is also very straightforward and clean sounding, with the Live 802 showing up as a generic two-channel USB codec.LED indicators for output level, peak, and phantom power also assist in making sure that you have multiple visual cues that reflect everything you’re hearing. Definitely recommended for anyone who needs an out-of-the-box stable working audio interface/mixer (Sorry, M-Audio) for Linux distributions using up to 5 amplifiers /+1 for headphones.
