Tris-Biphenyl Triazine, aka Tinosorb A2B, the newest addition to the Tinosorb family that protects strongly in an in-between wavelength that most other filters miss The only non-Korean sunscreen on the list, but its multiple iterations have been tested both by dermatologists and skincare enthusiasts alike, passing with flying colors each time. I've used this for years now, and its unmatched protection makes this forever my #1 holy grail sunscreen. The UV filters are just fantastic, and it includes 3 L'Oréal exclusive filters that protect against the entire spectrum of UV rays! Broad spectrum coverage: The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) recommends sunscreen products that provide broad spectrum coverage, meaning that it includes both UVA and UVB protection, says Dr. Camp. UVA is responsible for aging the skin and UVB is responsible for burning the skin, so it's safe to say you'll want to be protected from both! Another independently tested sunscreen, this one is also more moisturizing but without the crazy dewy finish. If you have dry skin or prefer to skip moisturizer, the ROUND LAB is a good option, but honestly they’re both excellent. They are incredibly photostable, which means they don’t lose their protection factor when exposed to UV rays (I’m looking at you Avobenzone!).

It is an oil-soluble, slightly yellowish powder that is not absorbed into the skin too much. This is good news for a sunscreen agent as it needs to be on the surface of the skin to do its job properly. Regarding Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine side effects, we have good news here as well: it has a great safety profile and unlike a couple of other chemical sunscreens, Trinosorb S (and M) does not showestrogenic activity. Purito was one of the sunscreens caught up in the Korean sunscreen scandal, but this new version has proven its excellent protection levels. It’s definitely better suited for dry skin types or those that like a super shiny finish. Uvinul A Plus (UVA protection, photostable), Tinosorb S (broad-spectrum, photostable), Tinosorb M (broad-spectrum, photostable), Uvinul T 150 (highest photo-stable absorption of all available UVB filters today), Diethylhexyl Butamido Triazone (Iscotrizinol/Uvasorb HEB) (UVB/UVA I), Polysilicone-15 (Parsol SLX) (UVB). Works well with makeup and other skincare products. It doesn’t pill. Make sure to hydrate and prep your skin well if you’re dry or dehydrated! Everybody’s darling centella asiatica, plus niacinamide and panthenol. No essential oils, fragrance or alcohol denat. This should be nice and soothing.Uvinul A Plus protects against UVA rays. It’s stable and studies show that only minimal amount gets absorbed into the skin. Centella Asiatica also often shows up in products that try to treat cellulite or striae. Of course, it cannot make a miracle but it might have some effect via regulating microcirculation and normalizing the metabolism in the cells of connective tissues.

Tinosorb S protects against both UVA and UVB rays! A study of 18 filters actually found this to have one of the best SPF protection, plus it’s incredibly stable and safe as well. A triple functional mild essence that protects skin from UV rays, provides brightening effects, and improves appearance of wrinkles. Dimethicone, Ceresin, Octocrylene, Silica, Triethylhexanoin, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Ozokerite, Phenyl Trimethicone, Butylene Glycol Dicaprylate Dicaprate, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Vinyl Dimethicone/Methicone Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer, Candelilla Wax, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Microcrystalline Wax, Sorbitan Caprylate, Dipropylene Glycol, Glycerin, Water, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Caprylyl Glycol, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Polyglyceryl-10 Oleate, Oil Soluble Licorice(Glycyrrhiza) Extract, Adenosine, Butylene Glycol, Lactobacillus/Soybean Ferment Extract, Origanum Vulgare Leaf Extract, Cinnamomum Cassia Bark Extract, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Chamaecyparis Obtusa Leaf Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Brassica Oleracea Italica (Broccoli) Extract, Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin Orange) Fruit Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Propanediol, Ectoin, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Gossypium Herbaceum (Cotton) Seed Oil, Arctium Lappa Seed Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin Orange) Peel Oil With a generous amount of powder over foundation – but it looks really good, no? (If you excuse the sliiiiightly wrong shade match of foundation I’m wearing.) It's a new generation sunscreen agent that was specifically designed for high SPF and good UVA protectionand based on a 2007 study that compared 18 sunscreen agents available in the EU it really had the best SPF protection(they used the highest concentration allowed by EU regulations from each 18 sunscreens and Trinosorb S gave an SPF 20 all by itself).

Again, awesome formula with newer gen filters and other great ingredients such as Niacinamide, Green Tea and Centella. Honestly, I’d definitely give this a try if you’re looking for your next K-sunscreen as it may become on of your Holy Grails!
