With anything else we get, the "//insert name here" has always been visible, but here they partially hide it with the chassis frame. It is clear the family of Corsair 5000 cases have good airflow and this iCUE 5000T RGB is no exception. We know all about the 5000D and it was immediately apparent the 5000T uses the same core chassis with the addition of a huge amount of ARGB lighting. At the back of the chassis, you will find a total of nine expansion slots, seven normal horizontal ones, and a pair of vertical slots for those wanting that look. It’s a great case, there’s no question about that, but you’re definitely paying extra for its visual flair more than anything else.

The top, bottom, and side fans all have their own dust filters which can be removed and cleaned with simple thumb screws or magnetic strips. A spacious interior fits up to 10x 120mm or 4x 140mm cooling fa drive as you can snap it into place before sliding it back into the cage underneath the shroud until the two latches on either side of the tray snap down to secure the drive. These six units—three on each side—run across the top, front, and bottom of the chassis and give you a level of exterior lighting that makes the chassis unique. For graphics cards, a maximum length of 400 mm is provided, so that even particularly large models can be installed. No matter how many times we show it, what stage it's in, it always looks the same since there are no bay covers or anything to disrupt the looks that Corsair worked so hard to perfect.

By that time, I’d already self-published some guidelines on hardcore PC stuff: pin-modifying processors to defeat compatibility checks and overclock non-overclockable systems. This is where we place the caveat that most users will have automatic fan control enabled, and thus won’t ever reach full fan speeds. As you have seen in our video there is room for improvement with the cooling side of iCUE, however the RGB control worked perfectly. There should be enough room for most coolers and GPUs, but note that the maximum CPU cooler height is 170mm while the maximum graphics card length is 400mm. Our second discovered deviation from Corsair’s specs is that while the manual states that the cable cover must be removed to install side fans, this task can be achieved by removing and reinstalling the fan bracket. That means you can’t plug devices with standard RGB headers into the case (at least without some unofficially supported conversion cable), but honestly, with three RGB fans and all the extra lights, you probably won’t feel the need to add even more lighting.
