Description

Romantic Killer vol 2 continues the story of Anzu, an independent girl who needs nothing except chocolate, video games and her cat. But somehow she has been caught up in a fairy’s plot to help her find love, and she’s not allowed to have her 3 favourite things until she does. Determined to never fall in love, Anzu suffers through high school life with hot boys being thrown in her way at every turn thanks to the fairy Riri. Loved it and couldn't put it down. Romantic Killer has become my all time favourite manga series and I simply cannot stop talking about it! Junta, Anzu and Tsukasa are my favourite characters, but every supporting and additional lead character in the series is also really well written. Riri as Anzu's cousins has already created some hilarious situations and I look forward to seeing how that progresses through future volumes. I really love how the bugs/beetles are censored, it makes me laugh so much!

Rather than the fun subversion of tropes we got last time, this one leans in hard with the revelation that Junta is filling the ‘chubby kid who turns hot by high school’ vacancy. On the upside, this does reveal that Riri’s not been manipulating people, just nudging their connections along. Still think it would have been more interesting if he was gay though. a b c d e f g "Romantic Killer (ONA) - Anime News Network". Anime News Network . Retrieved October 27, 2022. Love the concept of this manga it is super cute and funny read! Feel like vol 2 is still in the like stage building portion so nothing progressed to much but still super looking forward to future volumes. But mostly she just wants her cat, her chocolate, and her games, which is frankly making her one of the most relatable heroines ever in the history of manga. Her selection of shirts (and underwear) is beyond reproach.

Oct 25 Yearning Teens, Frustrated Romance, Pretty Skies — Is There Anything Else to Makoto Shinkai? And for once, the heroine actually knows the same things as the reader because there are a lot of little twists in this one that only make sense if you only take what Hoshino knows into account. Like Riri apparently having no gender (Not my fault, you lied to me book!) and thus being able to swap between fairy, human girl, and human boy forms. Also, my chapter 18 suspicions were confirmed. And it turns out Junta hasn’t been under a spell of any kind, so yay, but also boo. So that mostly leaves Kazuki, but there’s absolutely nothing done with him this volume except a brief bit at the start with his sister. It’s good, but if I’m going to care about anything I need a little more. In the first volume, Anzu’s life was turned upside down when a magical creature, Riri, transported her to an altered reality where she no longer had access to any of her favorite things. Riri’s goal is for Anzu to end up In a relationship, and so she’s using every manga trope possible to increase Anzu’s likelihood of dating.

Fav scene of this was the panty thief, I love how absolutely FIERCE Anzu can be. I must have re-read it five times when I first came to it. The Imp is the apex of all that is evil and I really like how Anzu isn't giving up and really wants to help free Junta from the Imp's spell. I kind of ship her being single, BUT I'm a romantic at heart, so want her to be happily paired off, but I DON'T want the imp to win. Catch-22! I guess I just don’t see a strong narrative leading us to any sort of definitive conclusion. Riri makes a point about their meddling helping Anzu have good times she might otherwise never have had, regardless of the romance angle, which, as a perspective, is coming in a bit late in the game.

If you are making a season 2, as i hope. Then i think Tsukasa shoud date Anzu because they need eathother if you know what i mean. And the first season was so romantic when Anzu protected Tsukasa and the other way. Please make a season 2.? Comprising four volumes, Romantic Killer is sure to become a favorite current release for fans of romantic comedies.” ~KGUN9 News But our teen girl finds all these situations annoying and refuses to fall in love no matter what romantic set ups occur. I liked volume 1 quite a bit, and loved volume 2 which got a bit sillier since it had its set up and initial love interest established and added some more love rivals.Loveridge, Lynzee (August 19, 2020).
