It wouldn't be my first choice for evening training rides – lanes, tight corners and descents at speed need more peripheral vision than the Sirius offers, in my opinion – but I've been using it primarily for commuting, where it's been ideal: 80 per cent urban riding, 20 per cent unlit roads, no lanes. Its low, medium and high modes make it perfect for variable surroundings. Easy to use Various programs in the lights can easily be selected to offer a choice of run times and modes so you can find the right one for your ride, be it an all-night adventure or an intense blast. Smart Port+ Technology - Smart Port+ enables the charge port to accept auxiliary accessories such as rear lights, remote switches, Support Cells and use your light as a power bank to charge USB devices. SPT+: Smart Port+ enables the charge port to accept auxiliary accessories such as rear lights, remote switches, Support Cells and use your light as a power bank to charge USB devices.

The Daybright mode is an interesting feature that, as the name suggests, is intended to get you seen while riding during the day. It's a pulse pattern that's really bright and noticeable from a long way off – we're talking hundreds of metres – even on a sunny day. Options for everyone. Depending on your needs you could have less complexity but the trade-off would be someone else not getting what they need. Day Bright: Bespoke pulse pattern designed for daylight use which is more conspicuous than a regular pulse and visible over a kilometre away, even in the brightest conditions. DayBright mode will you noticed. Be Seen be SafeThe clamping system is easy to use and mount to the bars with the single Allen bolt. The light is just as easy to attach to the clamp and removal is totally intuitive. Smart Port+ enables the charge port to accept auxiliary accessories such as rear lights, remote switches, Support Cells and use your light as a power bank to charge USB devices. Fuel Gauge Exposure Sirius Mk10 the ultimate “to be seen” front light, now with the output increased to 900 lumens to light the road ahead in the dark nights. The Sirius hits the sweet spot for power to weight, housed in a CNC machined aluminium body that features 240° front and side illumination giving the flexibility to be used for the daily commute or longer rides.

Like most of Exposure's lights, the Sirius has an anodised 6063 aluminium casing. Drop it and you might scratch the finish but you're unlikely to cause any damage that's going to affect the function. It really is ruff 'n' tuff. The light has an IPX6 rating, meaning that water won't get inside during normal use.Delivery timescales are based on working days; Public Holidays, Saturday's and Sunday's are NOT classed as working days. The lens of the Exposure Sirius Mk9 Daybright bike light focuses the beam into a super bright spot that over shines all other similar lights when compared. This is surrounded by a good spread of light on the peripheral to enhance road and hazard perception, while also delivering excellent side visibility. The Sirius once the best of the best “to be seen” front light, now with the output increased to 950 lumens can easily light the road ahead when required. The Sirius hits the sweet spot for power to weight, housed in a CNC machined aluminium body that features 240° front and side illumination giving the flexibility to be used for the daily commute or longer rides. Intelligent Thermal Management - Patented circuitry within the light will reduce power to the LEDs, if they go beyond the optimum temperature, keeping the light as efficient as possible to maximise output and battery capacity. Once the light has cooled, the power is automatically restored. Like many of Exposure’s lights, the Strada MK10 SB features the Optimised Mode Selector (OMS) function. The optimum number of light settings is always a bit of a balance – whilst it’s nice to have a range of choices, if there are too many it can make switching between them quite a pain.

In The Box: Sirius MK10 DB, TraceR MK2 ReAKT, QR Seatpost Mount, QR Handlebar Mount, 1 x Micro USB Charge Cable, 1 x USB Charge Cable, QS Guide Technologies: Shape and beam quality is excellent. Keeps it from feeling like riding in a tunnel and there’s a fairly tight cutoff. I would like to see a bit higher max lumens though. There are a number of modes to choose from, both static and flashing, including DayBright, a pulse that cuts through distractions in the brightest sunlight. Intelligent Thermal Management prevents the light from overheating by reducing power to the LEDs when they go over the optimum temperature. Once cool again, the output will return to previous levels.
