If you like an ex-friends turned enemies turned something more story, you will not be able to put Four Doors Down, down. As a 32 year old mother, I prefer my male leads a bit older, but I gave Four doors down a try based on another review that said that this wasn't you're typical YA.

She doesn't care that their moms are close and therefore she hears more about him than she'd ever care to know. But after his grandmother died and Becca is the one to comfort him, they start to get closer again no matter how hard she tries to avoid him. The first 10% or so, I was smiling like an idiot because this book reminded me of Bully by Penelope Douglas, but in a much more realistic way. Then on top of that she was so dumb and clueless it was a shocker that she was only flunking English and science because everyone knew that Ryan liked her and she couldn't figure it out. The unique part is that I had a major beef with the main character, and yet I loved this book more than I have loved most of my reads lately.I hate perfection, and it was refreshing to read about a heroine who was definitely not perfect, virginal or meek). He justifies his pathetic and disgusting behaviour by saying it's because he likes her (this is a VERY bad sign). She doesn’t care that their mutual friend, Jake, keeps pushing them all to hang out together, and she especially doesn’t care that the rest of the school bows down and worships him.

There are more reasons I really hated BECCA but it's exhausting me right now to relive her general clueless/problematic ass. He DARES say he would do nothing to hurt her, and then proceeds to tell the whole school she was cheated on. I do not know what it is about these characters or the plot, which isn’t very original or different, but Emma Doherty created pure, addictive MAGIC for me.I can't even be all that mad at the author because it takes place in high school so I kind of understand all of the high school drama but this was a rough one to get through so I'm still going to give it 2 stars. A number of Ryan's actions make Becca jaded towards him and she believes any friendly gestures from him have an ulterior motive, she is blind to what everyone else sees - his unrequited crush on her. But somehow – once I made my piece with that fact – the whole plot became actually pretty damn funny and I felt so sorry for Ryan at times (scratch that – it was really MOST of the time – he was such a nice person and really had the patience of a saint).

In this moving play, a decades-long friendship is challenged by a sudden turn in luck and the harsh realities that unspool when someone loses their foothold in society. Her character was like a car accident - it's bad but you can't help but to watch, you have to see how it plays out. Das Ryan Gefühle für sie hatte war zum einen ersichtlich und zum anderen einfach logisch bei der Geschichte.Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH).

I read this script during the development stage, and I encourage you to look at this piece, especially if you're looking for an all-female cast and realize that most theatre ticket purchasers are women. While the suburbs might conjure and convey certain attitudes, in this day and age, it shouldn’t be assumed that those attitudes always belong to white, thin, attractive, able-bodied white people. And, had I been Becca or any of the other people present during one of his abusive tantrums, I would have kicked him in the groin so hard he would choke on it. I liked this book a lot the only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is because Ryan was obviously in love with Becca but he was so mean to her sometimes. especially with letting her get hit twice by Jessica just because she didn’t come to his game or the after party. I literally finished it 5 minutes ago after ignoring my family for the last 4 hours, and I'm still caught up in this sweet high school romance. Donna has an uncanny way of refining her story without losing any of the beauty or magic of the original.
