About this deal

There are so many powerlifting programs available that it can be confusing for a novice lifter to determine which program is right for them. This site generates very little income which means I cannot justify time away from regular work to add new features to Black Iron Beast.

International products have separate terms, are sold from abroad and may differ from local products, including fit, age ratings, and language of product, labeling or instructions. However, with Beyond 5/3/1 , Wendler does a good job of giving the lifter a variety of tools to address virtually all of these deficiencies. From there, you repeat the exact same workouts that you did the month before with slightly heavier weights. Jim Wendler’s 5/3/1 program has become incredibly popular because it’s simple and it works for a lot of people.

well the lesson here is to never or at least try to never get off program or else you will become weak and weak is bad! To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

Jim has been incredibly generous in sharing so much online, that even though this book doesn't delve too deeply into the basics, one can easily get that by googling '531 Jim Wendler' or something like that. In november If I havent made the progress I want I will just go back to starting strength and hopeful the book will help me out so I can actually do a productive program rather than program hop and regress in the gym. After 25+ years of training and writing programs, I still have that youthful desire to create something new, unique and amazing. I remembered the Beyond template and thought that might be a good way to autoregulate but I don't want to do it wrong or even attempt it if Wendler has since moved on from it. I have been looking to move to a different base program and there are just so many in Forever that I have no clue where to begin.

I don't want to read about a strength program that simply works, I want to read about the strength program that works better than any of the others.

However, when you add on something like the ‘Big But Boring’ assistance template and start doing 5 sets of 10 to finish off each workout, you will absolutely start to see some serious muscle growth. In reading this book and checking his forums it's clear what kind of questions he gets all the time. I receive thousands of questions about training templates, assistance work and “form videos” all hoping that there is a reason for their lack of PR’s, lack of progress or simply looking for the magic formula for getting stronger. I question whether many programs written by "authorities" have even been used, either by themselves or anyone else.is a program designed and published by competitive powerlifter Jim Wendler in his book ‘ 5/3/1: The Simplest and Most Effective Training System to Increase Raw Strength. While there are certainly programs out there that go way too far with how much volume and frequency they prescribe, the original 5/3/1 program actually goes too far in the opposite direction in my opinion. I do consider Wendler's philosophy to be similar to McRoberts, although Jim is clear when a program is going to be punishing/high volume/heavy weights etc.
