The selection of rich woods and resins used in the base add warmth and comfort to this distinctive fragrance. However, I do expect something different from Amouage which I think is one of the best, most innovative, interesting perfume houses around.This is best in fall or winter for daytime office or night time formal use but can hang loose in any context if you're dressed in khakis and a polo like you're showing up for a job fair.

It starts off very flowery - with a slight hint of something like Dior Homme Intense - that sort of paper-y smell. All in all a very balanced perfume, the ingredients harmonize perfectly, the base of patchouli, vetiver, saffron likes.
