But nothing can prepare them forthe coming battle…or for the secret thatwill change the twins’ lives forever.

I really enjoyed reading the Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell. I found it so imaginative and descriptive that I felt I was there and the world was so clear in my head. I would recommend it for ages 9+ Today is the day we welcome a new @chriscolfer book into the world. Happy book birthday 🎂to A TALE OF MAGIC...💫 a book set in the world of the Land of Stories series, but is itself the start of a new series. It’s the 15th book Chris has written, and his best book yet! 🎉🎉🎉 #ATaleofMagic #bookbirthday Alexandra Marie Bailey is a smart, curious girl, described as having bright blue eyes and short, strawberry-blond hair with a headband always in it. She is studious and pays close attention to every class, getting full marks. She is also considered the teacher's pet but doesn't have any friends. She is the twin sister to Conner Bailey. She is one of the most powerful fairies ever known. She also is the reason why the twins went into the Land of Stories in the first place. The Land of Stories Wiki is an encyclopedic guide to the The Land of Stories and A Tale of Magic... series' by Chris Colfer. It's hard not to love a book dedicated to the Glee star's grandmother...Colfer gets off many good lines [and] the nifty ending ties the plot's multiple strands up while leaving room for further fairy tale adventures." Charlie Carlton 'Froggy' Charming is a large, slightly humanoid frog. Formerly, Prince Charlie Charming, a curse was placed upon him for being too vain. We find out later on that he was cursed by a witch named Morina, who cursed him so that he was ashamed of the way he looked, as she thought he ended their relationship because of her looks. He is wise and gives the twins advice and help throughout the story. In the beginning, he is embarrassed about being a frog and lives in a sort of house-hole in the dwarf forests. Later on, he is elected king of the Center Kingdom. In Beyond the Kingdoms he is imprisoned in a magic mirror to protect Red. In the final book, he is freed from the mirror after performing a good deed. He then marries Red after being freed.

When the twins’ grandmother gives them a treasured fairy-tale book, they have no idea they’re about to enter a land beyond all imagining: the Land of Stories, where fairy tales are real. Rumpelstiltskin is the secondary antagonist of the second book. He is a brother of the Seven Dwarves and is employed by Ezmia. He sacrifices himself at the end of the book, in hope of doing something good.Clawdius is the wolf of Red Riding Hood. He was rescued by her during the events of the second book, in the Northern Mountains of the Northern Kingdom. He currently lives in the Center Kingdom as a royal pet.

Unbeknownst to them, they were not the only ones trying to use the Wishing Spell. The Evil Queen was on a quest to collect the items as well. While Alex and Conner got all their information from the journal, the Evil Queen got it from her Magic Mirror, who gave the Queen an important warning: The Wishing Spell could only be used twice, and as it had already been used once before; so, it could only be used one more time. Thus, a true competition to collect the items began. A competition that, unlike the Evil Queen, the twins didn't yet know about. While the Queen sent the Huntsman's daughter to find all the needed objects, she planned to take care of Alex and Conner herself. However, the twins know time is running out. They have the Evil Queen chasing after them, and she wants the items for the wishing spell as well. The wishing spell can only be used once, so will they ever get home? The twins are introduced, and they are in a 6th grade class, taught by Mrs. Peters, and are learning about fairy tales. Alex seems to be the only one interested in the class. Meanwhile, Conner keeps falling asleep in class. Miss Peters talks to Conner about his family situation. Hagatha was a witch who practiced dark magic, who took advantage of Ezmia the Enchantress. She was killed when she fell into the Thornbush Pit. Alex and Conner spend the night at Froggy's home as his guests, having decided to begin their journey to collect the items the next day.King Arthur is the king of Camelot and love interest of Alex Bailey in Beyond the Kingdoms but they have to end their relationship because Alex had to stop the Masked Man. She convinces him to fulfill his destiny. However, he always retains a romantic longing for Alex Queen Snow White: Queen of the Northern Kingdom. She is revealed to be the one who releases her stepmother from the dungeon out of genuine sympathy for her plight. The twins find Snow White's castle. After nearly drowning in the river to get there, they find out that her glass coffin was moved to the dwarf mines. While on their way to the dwarf forests, they see the curvy tree, which again happens to be in one of their father's stories. After a dramatic change of the situation, the twins and their friends find shelter in Queen Snow White's castle where they destroy the saber from the deepest sea as promised. An invitation from Cinderella to celebrate the birth of her child gives them the opportunity to return her glass slipper to her and the spindle to Sleeping Beauty. In the palace, they encounter the Fairy Godmother, who, they find out is in fact their grandmother. Furthermore she tells the twins that they have been following their own father's journal the whole time, and that they both have fairy blood in them, which is why the spell could be activated with the use of Alex's tear. They also hear from Sir Lampton that he helped them on their quest by putting the glass slipper in Alex's bag. The Dragon is an antagonistic creature. The Masked Man retrieved it in its egg form for General Marquis and later helped them try to destroy the Fairy Kingdom. It was killed by the Fairy Godmother.
